About Us – Background and History

Manor Youth is dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of young people in our community. We firmly believe that investing in the younger generation is essential for creating a thriving and prosperous community. Our project aims to provide comprehensive support, guidance, and resources to empower youth, ultimately making a significant difference in our community.

MANOR YOUTH YOUNGSTERS IN THE LONDON FOOTBALL SHOWCASE EVENT

We began our project in 2009 with 6 players and 2 committee members. Initially we could only train twice a month in our local park. It was a constant struggle to maintain and manage the small project due to the lack of funds and support from the community. However we then encouraged our players to get involved and take ownership of the project, this proved to be challenging but extremely productive. The players enthusiastically took on the responsibility of delivering workshops and generating interest within the community. This allowed the committee members to concentrate their efforts on what they wanted to achieve for for the organisation but more importantly what would work and benefit the team and community as a whole.

Our youth project has the potential to make a lasting and profound difference in our community. By addressing educational challenges, empowering youth with skills and opportunities, fostering personal development, promoting civic engagement, and nurturing positive relationships, we aim to create a supportive ecosystem that enables young individuals to thrive. Through their personal growth and contributions, we envision a stronger community, where young people are inspired, equipped, and empowered to shape a brighter future for themselves and others.
